This is me again blurting out. Could never piece thoughts together. You would have to do that for yourselves, so sorry about that.
I would say this is like a snapshot of the scrambled thoughts I have. You get wiser everyday so there is a high probability my future self may delete this. Better read while you still can.
So adulting huh, regardless of the person using this word, it carries gravity. It carries the weight of the real world and some dead weight as well. Yup. Our dead dreams and hopes. Whoa this is becoming a grave monologue now. Haha. Well it is what it is. This is not a stage in your life , it’s something you have been doing all along and will continue to do so. Some events explicitly call for drastic adulting, but you have been doing this knowingly or unknowingly. Adulting is actually what makes things complex. You can’t just do whatever comes to your mind right?
Can I afford it? Yup, that is the question. Can you afford to be so erratic? Can you afford to be childish? Can you afford that or do you need to save for your kids? And so on. Notice this question only comes to things you want. Not what you need.
Why is it so hard for some people but a breeze for others? Well… I wish I knew that. It’s more of a rhetorical rant than a question. I think just like other tasks , adulting with others eases the process. Takes a toll when you are on your own. So don’t be like that. It’s ok, no one expects you to become a responsible adult in one day. Either way, it is a dish which is best served when marinated for a sufficiently long time in just the right spices. Now, everyone’s a different dish and he or she is aware of that. So take your time.
Never associate this concept with job, marriage, kids. It has nothing to do with such constructs. It is what you think for yourself and what you believe what’s right for you. I think if you are consciously able to separate those two things, it may get a little easier.
